Right now, though, nobody knows about the book. Though I'm not a new author, I am new under this pen name, so nobody knows who T.D. Ross is or that she's got a new short quirky romance novel out.
How to get attention?
By posting a chapter every day, sequentially, on this blog. Hopefully this will attract romance fans, driving more traffic to the blog, eventually finding readers interested enough in:
- riding out the free wave, finishing the book, and telling their friends about it OR
- willing to buy the book for $3 or less because:
- they need the rest of the story right now and can't wait another however many days for the rest to be posted
- it's just easier to read on a Kindle (or any device, all my stories are DRM-free)
- after reading it on the blog they like it enough they're willing to pay for it after the fact
We'll see how the experiment goes. In the meanwhile, I'm hard at work on Corinne, my upcoming erotic thriller. I'm 10k into it already and thinking it's going to be 80k, so off to a good start. If only I could write faster...
