I got an idea for this story...I don't know if it's been done before (it probably has, because every story has been done before)...but here's what I started thinking about...
We've seen many good stories about big, beautiful women and the men/women who are into them. In literary fiction, we often see these stories through the BBW's eyes and get that glimpse into how different (read: difficult) their lives are. Obesity is still fair game for punch lines (along with mental illness...don't get me started). I enjoy these stories because it paints such a compelling picture.
But what about the men who are interested in big women? There have got to be some interesting psychological angles to explore.
And I started thinking...it must be difficult for a man to admit he finds sexy what not-so-polite society would deem "chubby," almost like it was some communicable disease or, even worse, some character flaw. After all, we've been programmed since birth to think that fat is something to be ashamed of. Men openly drool over runway models and many think a woman with more than five pounds to lose is fat.
So I thought up a story...basically about a man who is struggling to "come out" and openly live the life of a male that is attracted to curvy women. I'm working on it right now...we'll see how it goes.
